Toddler/Young 2's Preschool Class (18 - 24 months+)

Our Littlest Lions is the Toddler/Young 2's Class! Ages 18-24 months+ attend 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and enjoy art, music, circle/storytime, snack, playing on the playground and meeting friends.

2-Year Old Preschool Class

Little Lions offers 3 day and 5 day 2 year old classes. These children turn 2 before September 1st. The 2's enjoy art, music, one on one teacher guided work/learning time, snack, playtime with friends, and playing on the playground. Shapes, colors, seasons, and animal life will all be part of the curriculum, as well as a
focus on our Christian faith.

3-Year-Old Preschool Class

Our 3-year-old class is available in both 3-day and 5-day options for children who turn 3 before September 1. This program is designed to prepare children for 4-year-old preschool through engaging activities focused on shapes, colors, numbers, name recognition, early writing, and letter introduction.

Children build fine and gross motor skills while developing important social skills through daily art, music, and circle time. Our Christian-based curriculum includes weekly Chapel and two seasonal music programs throughout the year.

Teachers conduct ongoing evaluations to monitor each child’s developmental and academic progress. These assessments are followed by individualized fall and spring parent conferences, giving families valuable insight into their child’s growth, achievements, and classroom experience.

With a 15:2 student-to-teacher ratio, children receive meaningful one-on-one interaction and personalized support in a nurturing classroom environment.

Older 3-Year-Old/Young 4-Year-Old Preschool Class

The Older 3-Year-Old/Younger 4-Year-Old class is designed to support children as they build foundational academic, social, and developmental skills in preparation for Pre-K. Students focus on learning to recognize and write their names, letters, and numbers while strengthening fine and gross motor skills through engaging, age-appropriate activities.

This class provides an excellent transition year for older 3-year-olds and “young fours” before entering Pre-K or the 4-year-old preschool class/transitional kindergarten program at Little Lions Preschool. Children are encouraged to develop confidence, independence, and positive social interaction through collaborative play and classroom experiences.

In addition to core learning, students participate in weekly chapel lessons and two seasonal music programs throughout the year. As with all Little Lions Preschool classes, the curriculum thoughtfully integrates music, art, and play-based learning to foster creativity, academic readiness, and social growth—helping children build a strong foundation for a lifelong love of learning.

Teachers conduct ongoing evaluations throughout the year to monitor each child’s developmental and academic progress.  4-Year Old Preschool Class/Transitional Kindergarten

Little Lions Preschool’s 4-Year-Old Preschool Class/Transitional Kindergarten is designed to prepare children for a successful transition into Kindergarten through a well-rounded, developmentally appropriate curriculum. As the oldest class at Little Lions Preschool, this program focuses on strengthening foundational academic skills while fostering confidence, independence, and a love of learning.

Students build early literacy and math skills through recognition of capital and lowercase letters, letter-sound association, syllable segmentation, number recognition, basic addition and subtraction, patterning, and identification of two-dimensional and three-dimensional shapes. Sight words are introduced as children demonstrate readiness, and weekly “Book Buddy” activities encourage literacy development at home. The class also incorporates the Letter People Curriculum and related books to reinforce learning in an engaging and meaningful way.

In addition to core academics, students participate in weekly chapel lessons and two seasonal music programs throughout the year. As with all Little Lions Preschool classes, the curriculum thoughtfully integrates music, art, and play-based learning to support creativity, social-emotional development, and academic readiness.
